Subjects Taught

My name is Dr. Richardson.  I have been teaching at Manley since 2006.  I have also taught at Witt, Whitesburg, and Lincoln Heights Elementary in Hamblen County.  Before coming to Hamblen County, I taught K-8 Music at Nolachucky and Camp Creek in Greene County.  I received my Bachelor of Music Degree from Carson-Newman in 1998.  In 2002, I received my Master of Arts Degree in K-12 Education from Tusculum College.  I completed the Education Specialist Degree in Administration and Supervision from Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) in 2008.  In 2011, I became the first person from LMU to meet all requirements for the Doctor of Education in Executive Leadership Degree.

I grew up in Elizabethton, TN and graduated as the 1994 Valedictorian at Unaka High School.  I have been playing piano since I was in 10 years old.  I began studying organ when I was a freshman in high school.  I currently live in Morristown.

When not teaching at Manley, I direct the Lakeway Children's Choir and play organ at First Baptist Church in Morristown.  I enjoy writing music for organ, piano, and children's voices.  In my spare time, I love to cook and travel!
